Coated Free-sheet

Coated offset papers have a smooth clay or latex coating applied over a freesheet or groundwood base paper with the quality characteristics needed in order to withstand the rigors of offset presses. They are available in a variety of finishes, such as gloss, dull and matte and a variety of grades (levels of quality).

Used for: books, art-quality posters, high-end advertising, frequently for high quality magazines (e.g. National Geographic), posters, advertising, brochures, catalogs.
